Playing your Music

Using the Sonos System

innuOS has built-in features to automatically configure and update a Sonos system so that all you need to do is to add your music and it will be automatically seen by your Sonos system. You can add music by either ripping CDs via the Disc Ripper or importing music via the Import feature on the innuOS Dashboard.

Setting up the Sonos System

In order for Sonos to be able to play music from your innuOS Server, it needs to know the location of the music files. innuOS can provide this information automatically to Sonos without having to type any information. Just follow these steps:

1. Access the innuOS Dashboard by navigating on your browser to http://my.innuos.com.

2. Choose Settings.

Innuos Dashboard

3. On the Music Server section, choose "Configure Sonos".

innuOS Settings

4. Choose "Configure".

Settings - Configure Sonos

5. innuOS will now confirm Sonos configuration is complete. Click "Close" to close the window.

Settings - Sonos Configuration Complete

innuOS will now add its Music Library path to Sonos and trigger an update. Your Sonos app will show that the system is now updating and your music will be available on Sonos once that's complete.
