Importing your Music

Importing from AUto-Import Shared Folder


innuOS allows you to import music you currently have in your computer to the server. All you need to do is to copy the music from your computer, be it an iTunes Library or music downloaded from an online store, and place it on the Auto-Import folder on the innuOS Server.

Accessing the innuOS Shared Folders on Windows

  1. On your WIndows Computer, Open File Explorer
  2. Scroll the left pane until you find Network and click on it.
  3. Your innuOS server should be listed on the Computer section
  4. Double-click on the innuOS server name (ZENMINI, ZEN or ZENITH).

You should be able to see three shared folders:
  • Auto-Import - The folder to copy the music from your computer to import on the innuOS server.
  • Music - The Music folder for your Music Library
  • Unsorted - The folder containing imported music that did not fulfill the import requirements

Due to some networking configurations, your innuOS server may not show on the Computer section. If that's the case, do the following:
  1. Go to http://my.innuos.com
  2. Check your innuOS server is listed and take note of the IP Number below the Model Name. Ex: "192.168.0.25".
  3. Go back to File Explorer and type the following on the address bar: \\ where is the number you have taken note on the step before. Ex: "\\192.168.0.25".
  4. The network shared folders should now be displayed.


Accessing the Auto-Import folder on Mac OS X
  1. Open Finder;
  2. Your innuOS server should show on the Shared Area on left Pane;
  3. If asked, choose to Connect as Guest.

You should be able to see three shared folders:
  • Auto-Import - The folder to copy the music from your computer to import on the innuOS server.
  • Music - The Music folder for your Music Library
  • Unsorted - The folder containing imported music that did not fulfill the import requirements~

Due to some networking configurations, your innuOS server may not show on the Computer section. If that's the case, do the following:
  1. Go to http://my.innuos.com
  2. Check your innuOS server is listed and take note of the IP Number below the Model Name. Ex: "192.168.0.25".
  3. Go back to Finder and choose Go > Connect to Server
  4. Type smb:// where IP number is the number taken on step 2. Ex: smb://192.168.0.25
A list of folders should be displayed. Choose the Auto-Import folder.

Importing music from the Auto-Import folder
  1. Copy the music from your computer to the Auto-Import folder. If your music is contained with folders, please copy the whole folder structure. As an example, if you'd like to copy your iTunes Library on Windows, you should copy the entire Music folder within the Music\iTunes\iTunes Media folder;
  2. Go to the Import section on the innuOS Dashboard on your tablet and click the "From Auto-Import" option;
  3. Click the Import button to start Importing.
